The sessions are held through virtual meetings via Zoom or Google Meet.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SESSION?
Before the session, you will specify your requirements in your Training Plan. (the types of questions you want to practice, the interview style, the job sector you are applying for). During the session, you will practice and perfect your interview answers, and you will receive detailed evaluation and feedback to advance your English and interview strategy. After the session, you will receive your feedback and action points via email, so that you can document your progress and implement your learning.
WHAT FEEDBACK WILL I RECEIVE?
You will receive feedback and advice on your English sentence construction, fluency, expressions, vocabulary, register, pronunciation and intonation. You will receive feedback and advice on your interview skills and communication style. This will happen verbally during the session, and in writing after the session via email.
What’s the difference between the Preparation Course and One-to-One Sessions?
The Preparation Course is 2.5 hours of educational video content, quizzes and supporting materials. The One-to-One Sessions are private virtual meetings with Susie. It’s recommended, but not necessary, to do both!
I don’t have a job interview, but I still want a One-to-One Session. Is that ok?
Absolutely! Practising for the future is a really good idea. We’ll adapt the session to your needs.
Can I practice something else apart from job interviews?
Of course! Check out Business World training.
Do I need to prepare anything before the One-to-One Session?
Yes – your Training Plan! This is a form that you receive via email. Specify your requirements for the Session (the types of questions you want to practice, the interview style you want to prepare for, or anything else you think is relevant). Complete it, and your Session will be 100% adapted to you. That’s all!
Who will give my training in the One-to-One Session?

Do I need a particular level of English?
Yes – a minimum intermediate level of English. This means you can interact in English in areas that are familiar to you. If your level is higher, that’s also great! Remember, all One-to-One Sessions are personalised. From intermediate to advanced level, we’ll focus on bringing out your best English.
Can I practice for multiple job interviews during the same Session / Pack of Sessions?
Yes, if you are preparing for similar job interviews i.e. the same sector, similar style of interview. If you are applying for very different types of jobs, then it is recommended to prepare for each job interview separately. This is because the key to job interview success is adapting to the specific job position.
Can I prep any other language apart from English?
Only English, for the moment!
How many One-to-One Sessions should I do?
More Sessions means more training, so it really depends on your goals.
Some elements you might want to consider:
English If your level of English is your least comfortable area, we recommend 3 – 5 Sessions to really enhance your performance.
Time If you’re in a rush, then book a single Session for some hardcore practice. Don’t worry, you can always add more Sessions later if you find the time.
Interview skills If you want to invest time planning and practising answering interview questions, then we recommend 3 – 5 Sessions to refine your structure and content.

It’s also recommendable (but not necessary) to complete the Interview Preparation Course before joining a Session. This helps you think about your answers before you verbally practise during the Session.
How long is a One-to-One Session?
1 hour and 20 minutes per Session. We value each minute of your time, which is why the Session is structured to best take advantage of your training. This means a 10 minute warm up, to give us a full hour of focused practice. That leaves 10 minutes at the end to make sure you understand your feedback perfectly and can solve any other doubts you might have. The perfect formula, we’re sure you’ll agree!
I bought an individual One-to-One Session but decided I want more practice. Can I get a pack instead?
Of course! Contact us here and we’ll set it up.
How far in advance do you publish the booking calendar?
You can normally see the calendar 2 months in advance. Availability is dependent on how busy the month is and how quickly Sessions spaces fill up!
Do I need to install any video conference software for my One-to-One Session?
In most cases, it won’t be required. We use Google Meet and Zoom for the Sessions. When you first book your Session, we’ll email you with a link to both platforms. Via the online form, we’ll ask you to select your preferred platform. And see you there!
What if I have technological problems in my One-to-One Session?
It’s recommended to do your One-to-One Session in a quiet place without any distractions, with good WIFI connection and decent audio quality. If there is an unexpected issue with your technology, we will try to deliver your Session to the best of our ability.

During the session, you will be guided into speaking in whichever area you have chosen, and you will receive detailed evaluation and feedback to advance your English. After the session, you will receive your action points via email, so that you can document your progress and continue improving.

HOW WILL I IMPROVE?
This is a three-step process to make the jump from being a student of English to being a true speaker of English. First, you practice. You use every minute to build up your skills in speaking fluently, confidently, accurately and naturally. Second, you receive individual feedback and action points. This is key to identifying your personal strengths and weaknesses, because every person is different. Third, you implement your feedback and action points into your speaking, through expert guidance and support. The result is that you speak English quickly, precisely, and actively.

Everyone is different, but here are some elements you might want to consider:
Short-term projects: If you’re in a rush to prepare your English for a specific task with a deadline, then book a single session for some hardcore practice.
Ongoing projects: If you want to invest time improving your English for a variety of professional situations, then we recommend starting with 3-5 sessions.
Confidence: If using English in the workplace is very uncomfortable for you, we recommend starting with 5 sessions to really enhance your performance.
Remember – you can always add more sessions later.

Booking process
How does the booking process work?
1. Select your Session Pack or a single Session

2. Schedule the best time for you in the calendar. For the session packs, you’ll be asked to book at least the first Session; you can book the other Sessions by clicking “Add more Appointments” after booking the first one, or whenever you like using your Talktips panel.

3. Pay easily using your credit card or paypal
4. Once your booking is made you’ll receive an email with confirmation details. You will receive another email with instructions for the Session (links to the video conference; log in details to your Talktips panel in case you need it; an online form to customise your experience).
5. Complete the online form to customise your experience, and everything will be ready for your first training session!
What do I get after paying for the Training Sessions?
Once your booking is made you’ll receive an email with confirmation details and receipt of your purchase.
A few minutes later, you will receive another email with instructions for the Session, including:
- Links of the online meeting (Google Meet + Zoom)
- Log in to your Talktips panel
- Online form to customise your experience
Please, check your spam folder if you haven’t received any of these emails after an hour or contact us.
Do I need to book a date for all my Sessions in advance?
You must book a date and time for the first Session upon purchase. If you purchase a pack, you have the option to book the first Session and wait to book the others at a later point in time using your talktips panel. If you prefer, you can also book all your Sessions in advance.
How do I access my Talktips panel?
Go to the booking confirmation email we sent you and there you’ll find your private log-in details.
What can I do from my Talktips panel?
The Talktips panel allows you to manage your Sessions. Here you will be able to:
- Schedule the rest of your Session pack bookings.
- Reschedule your Session if you have an emergency (up to 24 hours before)
- Access the Zoom link for the appointment.(Remember you’ll find the Google Meet link in your email).

CANCELLATION POLICY
WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
If you can’t attend a Session, you can reschedule up to 24 hours in advance. If there is less than 24 hours’ notice, you can’t cancel or reschedule, and the One-to-One Session will still be charged at the normal rate. This is a strict policy we have in place to ensure that everybody’s time is respected as professionals. Thank you for your understanding!
To reschedule, simply go to the Talktips panel. Your log in details can be found in the first email you received from us when you booked. And if in any doubt, contact us!

I want to cancel my One-to-One Session
Easy! You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance and reschedule your Session for another time.
To reschedule, simply go to the Talktips panel. Your log in details can be found in the first email you received from us when you booked. And if in any doubt, just contact us.
If there is less than 24 hours’ notice, you can’t cancel or reschedule, and the One-to-One Session will still be charged at the normal rate.

PAYMENTS
Is it safe to pay?
Yes, of course! For the One-to-One Sessions we use the payment platform Stripe and PayPal. With Stripe, you can pay easily by card, no account necessary. PayPal requires an account.
And on Udemy?
Yes, very safe! Udemy uses the same payment methods, plus Udemy Credits and other options.
